Tydeman's Michaelmas Red

McIntosh X Worcester Pearmain
Raised 1929 by H M Tydeman, EMRS, Kent.

Deep red flush with bloom.  Juicy, sweet, slightly raspberry flavour becomes strongly winey and scented, but often underlying metallic taste, tough skin.

Pick early September, store November-January.
