STAA are recruiting to expand our board of trustees. We are keen to build a board that reflects the diversity and expertise of the great communities that we work with.

 

About STAA

STAA is small but growing charity working with the local community in St Ann’s, Nottingham. STAA provides opportunities for people to learn, play, connect, and relax in beautiful green outdoor spaces. We are based on the St Ann’s allotments although we do not manage the site. We want all members of our community to be able to benefit from this beautiful and historic oasis in the city.

The Role

The role of the trustee is a rewarding one.

The Board of Trustees sets the overall strategic direction for the charity and provides scrutiny of our organisation’s processes and decisions. We work closely with our CEO and staff team to decide on our priorities and how we should achieve them. Our trustees are key to ensuring we continue to remain a viable organisation and stay on track to deliver our charitable objectives.

The board meets on the third Monday of each month in the evening.

What we’re looking for

We are passionate about the value that these projects add to our local community. We are keen to hear from people from a variety of backgrounds but would be particularly interested in candidates with any of the following;

• Experience of living and working in St Ann’s, Nottingham and the surrounding areas;
• Business development experience
• Finance

We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. Whether you are an experienced Trustee or wanting to take your first step at Board level, we would love to hear from you.
