The Gateway to the Gardens project supported by the National Lottery Community Fund is a STAA initiative that is helping members of the local community to benefit from and enjoy our space at the St Ann’s Allotment site.
This 3 year community focussed project has helped hundreds of local people through a very difficult year by creating greater access to safe greenspace, involving them in volunteering projects, facilitating Covid secure activity days, play and toddler sessions and by helping to distribute fresh produce from our sites into the community helping those in need.
This much needed project will continue to grow in 2021, as we develop the old nursery site, introduce a learning and volunteer hub and provide more food, increased opportunities for volunteers and an even wider range of community activities.
