If you fancy a bit of gentle gardening exercise, learning some new skills, and making some new friends, STAA’s social gardening sessions at St. Ann’s Allotments in Nottingham offer all that and more.
Here at STAA we believe there is more to gardening than hard physical work. Social Gardening is about building a sense of community and well-being, getting out of the house and into beautiful outdoor spaces and meeting and connecting with other people. You’ll meet people here from all walks of life, have time for a chat, share tips and tricks, and enjoy time in nature.
Spending time outdoors getting your hands dirty and witnessing the magic of life sprouting from a seed is a natural mood booster. Plus, it’s a great way to get some gentle exercise and de-stress.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a curious beginner, there’s always something new to learn and in these sessions we’ll be sharing sustainable gardening practices and you’ll able to contribute your own knowledge and skills to the team effort.
So, come join us at STAA’s social gardening sessions! Help us to cultivate a thriving garden, a supportive community, and a more beautiful Nottingham, one seed at a time.
